With daughter Alegre now reaching adolescence, Roy was able to return to his first love - hoops. With college basketball no longer an option and the pro game seeking younger players, a chance meeting led Roy to a spot on the World Famous Harlem Globetrotters. Here, again Roy excelled as both a player and one of the lead "Ambassadors" for the team. He traveled the globe promoting the team and the love of the game. His spirit inspired many and his tours would land him in the presence of such famous leaders as Pope John Paul II, Nelson Mandela and former President Bill Clinton.
Roy still loves sharing his enjoyment of basketball with others. He tours the Eastern Caribbean annually as part of NBA player Adonal Foyle's Summer Island Basketball Camps and also the Athletics and Academics Basketball Camps series.
