It was during some of his many international travels as a member of the Globetrotters where Roy began to explore the unique world of cigars. Following the stint with the Globetrotters, Roy set his sites on his new passion and joined the staff of LaSalle's Cigars in Oakland. For the next several years, LaSalle's became one of the top spots to buy and enjoy specialty cigars. Roy hosted many special events and created a network of aficionados throughout the West Coast.

In 2010, Roy embarked on a new venture as part of the Casa Bellicoso Family. Through his direct connections, Casa Bellicoso became the first distributer of the famed Padron Cigars west of the Mississippi. Roy's expansive contact network has also provided the operation many new business avenues and affiliations. With an expansive cigar collection, assortment of supplies, fine wines and it's superior customer service, Casa Belicoso is continuing to define itself the premiere retail tobacconist in the East Bay.
